11th February 2023, Train No. 12786, Bangalore to Kachiguda, travelling to Kachiguda for Brothers' Engagement. Around 7:00 p.m., a guy boarded the train at Yelahanka Junction and sat in front of me. He looks tense, and by seeing him, I can say that he is occupied with deep thoughts. I kept quiet for some time and thought to check if he was fine. I was about to say hi, but he got a call. He took his mobile out of his bag and saw the caller's name. In that span of time, he got distracted from his deep thoughts, and once he disconnected the call, he again became involved in his thoughts.
During that fraction of his distraction from his thoughts, I read his thoughts. Now, I can tell what he was thinking, what he was involved in, and what he was going to do. Before going to these details, let me tell you about me and how I read his thoughts in those brief moments of his distraction.
My name is Krishna. I was born in Mathura. working as a psychologist in Bangalore. My father was a neuroscientist and used to perform a lot of experiments in our home lab on transferring human thoughts as small electromagentic waves as far as possible and receiving them at the other end in an understandable format. When I was 13 years old, I was an enthusiastic kid who liked to observe and imitate the things my father did, obviously not accurately or with any prime result motto. To be precise, playing with his equipment. One day my dad got an emergency call and left the lab without turning off his equipment. I remember that was the last day I behaved like a normal human being. That day I wore this particular equipment, which looks like a helmet, from which a lot of wires were connected to the big equipment, which was blinking and had so many switches and levers. I wore that helmet and turned on a few switches and a few levers, not knowing it was powerd on; all I remember is being thrown out of that place a few metres away from that equipment, with an electric shock, fumes, and lightning. I woke up in a hospital with a tonsured head. My dad said I was in a coma for one week, and because of that accident, they had to perform a brain operation, for which they had to tonsure my head. I was lying on my bed, and my dad told me that if I took one week of rest, that would be enough, and they could discharge me. After four days in the hospital, this weird thing happened to me. When I am surrounded by people, I used to have lot of thoughts. Then one day, when my dad was sitting near me, I told him that just now I had this thought: "A few pieces of the equipment got stuck in my brain; to remove them, they performed this operation. They couldn't remove a small piece of nanoequipment that almost dissolved in one nerve, which is very difficult to perform. The result might be that I will lose my consciousness. So, they suggested not to perform." After I said this, my dad got shocked.
Because those were the thoughts that he was having a few seconds ago.
After I got discharged from the hospital, he analysed me in all the possible ways and came to one conclusion. I am able to read the thoughts of people around me. For better understanding, I will keep it this way: if someone is talking, sound waves will originate from him and travel to the environment, where people can hear them. If someone is sneezing, particles will come from him and enter the environment, which we can feel or see. If someone is stinky, that smell goes into the environment, and we can smell it. In the same way, if someone is done with the thought or distracted, the thought will release to the environment, but people cannot sense those thoughts as we humans are not capable of that. But now I am capable of that because of the nanoequipment, which was a kind of receiver that almost dissolved in my brain; that passive equipment picks up those thoughts as an electro-magnetic wave, and my brain converts those waves to an understandable format. That's how I read the thoughts of people, even though it is not appropriate to do so. Not in my hands. I can avoid those thoughts by wearing an anti-electromagnetic wave helmet, which I cannot do all the time. So, instead of that, I used to occupy myself with my own thoughts every time. which helps me to distract from the thoughts that I receive when I am around people. And this thought-catcher thing helped me choose my career as a psychologist, which also helped me a lot to connect with people, understand people, and resolve their problems. I am happy for that.
Now, let me tell you about the thoughts of this guy in the train, which he was going through. He is planning to jump from the train once it is dark and everyone has gone to sleep. I was shocked initially and finally decided to check with him to see what the reason was and what the solution might be to stop this.
I thought to start my way of talking to him to console and help him overcome his problem.
I intentionally coughed twice and asked for water.
He said, "Sure, here it is." Take it.
I had a glup of water and said thank you. By the way, my name is Krishna. I am from Mathura and working in Bangalore. You ?
Hello, my name is Arjun, and I am studying in Bangalore.
Me: Wow! Engineering ?
Arjun: Yes, electronics and communication.
His thoughts: "Yes, this engineering, ECE, lack of interest in studies, and lot of backlogs made me decide to commit suicide."
My Thoughts: "I read his thoughts when he emitted them."
Me: Even I studied in the same group, but couldn't complete. I quitted at 3rd year.
Arjun: Why did you quit?
Me: I kept silent for a few seconds and said I was not good at engineering. So I had to quit.
Arjun: Is it? (with full focus) Didn't your family members say anything? And how did you face that situation? Please tell the complete story, if you don't mind.
My Thoughts: "I grabbed his attention. Now I have to tell a story that should convince him to quit his stupid idea and start working on his passion."
Me: I started in this way. My parents forced me to study engineering, in which I had no interest. So I have a lot of backlogs, and at that point in time, I thought to end my life. (His choked listening this.) and of course I was about to attempt it. But all of a sudden I got the thought to share my feelings about the lack of interest in studies with my close friend. He consoled me and told me to write down everything about what I want to do, what you want to become, and what you want to learn to become, what makes you happy and what makes you sad, what kind of people you like, How you spend time, every minute detail if possible, etc. It took me almost two months to write the complete details. Do you know what happened after writing everything? I knew more about myself. I liked it, then I decided not to do engineering. Now, the next part is to convince my parents.
Arjun: Does writing those things really work? And how you convinced your parents—I hope that is the toughest part.
Me: It really works. Arjun, I said I was working right. I am working as a psychologist in Bangalore. Do you know if I hadn't quit engineering at that time? I wouldn't have been at this stage. I helped a lot of successful people come out of that bad phase of their lives. I suggested them to do the same. Leave about that, coming to my parents' part Initially, I was hell-scared, so I got an idea. After writing everything, I now know what I want and what I want to pursue, i.e., becoming a psychologist. So what I did was I googled the best psychologists and sent emails to each and every one of them, telling them about my condition, and took a 1-hour long appointment with five people. So I went to my parents and told them to come along with me, and we met all the psychologists. They explained to them how life will be, how much they can earn, and how famous they can be. Do you know? It worked.
Arjun: Really?
Me: Of course it will. Our parents are scared about our future if you give them detailed explanations about you and what you want to do, and on top of that, if some experienced people talk, it will work 100%.
Arjun: That looks really promising. Does experienced people in every field help ?
Me: It might not be 100%, but 70% will do that. People are ready to help; we have to ask them and share your thoughts.
Arjun: Thank you. I got a very good insight.
His Thoughts: "I will quit this idea of suicide and pursue my career as a musician."
Me: You are welcome! a top secret! Come close; do you know this musician (xxxx)? He is my patient.
Arjun: Seriously! I am a very big fan of him. Does that kind of very popular person have a bad phase?
Me: Ofcourse. But now he is leading a very happy life. Maybe once you're back in Bangalore. Contact this number. I will schedule an appointment with him if you are interested.
Arjun: My god!!! I am very happy.
His Thoughts: "I will take my parents along to convince them."
Arjun: Can I take my parents as well? Even they are big fans of him.
Me: Sure!
Arjun: Thank you, Krishna, for this insightful conversation.
Krishna: My pleasure.
